Campbell C. Rhea

SENIOR PARTNER

Valuing clear and transparent communication, Campbell is a skilled civil litigator with years of experience solving contractual disputes, mediating disagreements, and securing favorable outcomes for a wide range of clients throughout various areas of the law. With a compassionate and practical approach, Campbell navigates clients through the often difficult and taxing realities of litigation with an efficient and client-centric mindset, delivering results with cost and efficiency at the forefront.

A seasoned negotiator, Campbell represents clients from countless backgrounds and circumstances, priding himself on his ability to dissect intricate legal issues and distill complicated concepts into understandable and digestible servings. Collaborating closely with clients, Campbell presents a clear and customized roadmap on a case-by-case basis, working diligently to consistently achieve winning results.

Campbell graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of North Carolina at Asheville before studying law, with an emphasis on litigation. For nearly a decade, Campbell has worn many hats as his practice ranges from general litigation, complex business litigation, contractual disputes, and even criminal defense.

When not practicing law, Campbell enjoys homebrewing, biking, and traveling.

Kristin McKown

SENIOR PARTNER

Kristin grew up in Gaffney, SC, having most recently relocated to the USVI from Charleston, SC. Kristin brings a diverse work background to the firm. These many career experiences have honed her skills in developing  a deep understanding of complex business scenarios, as well as an appreciation for the many different types of people who come with them. Interfacing with Clients and providing a supportive and caring environment is a treasured area in which Kristin excels. Fighting for the rights of her Clients naturally flows from this care and consideration she strives to provide each and every one.

Kristin has worked at several prestigious law firms including, Motley Rice LLC, Rogers, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman LLC, and Iverson, Yoakum, Papiano & Hatch. Additionally, she clerked for The Honorable Herman Fredrick "Sparky" Gierke III, who served as the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces  when he was a visiting Professor of Law at Kristin’s law school, Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. She also clerked for The Honorable Donald E. Grincewicz of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida.

While attending her beloved undergraduate Alma Mater, the College of Charleston, Kristin was fortunate to work with her legal mentor, Judge Alex Sanders, Jr., formerly the Chief Justice for the SC Court of Appeals, while he was the President of the College of Charleston. 

The Entertainment Industry has long been a part of Kristin’s life. She has performed on stage and film since her childhood, and did so professionally for many years.  She is an active member of SAG-AFTRA. She has been fortunate to have had many opportunities to perform on stages across the US, Canada, and France.  “Behind the Scenes”, Kristin gained invaluable skills in areas including film financing, development, negotiating and distribution with big studios as well as the independents. These experiences opened the door for being asked to teach Entertainment Law as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Charleston School of Law for several years. 

Kristin has a deep commitment to philanthropy, and has served on many non-profit boards. One such organization of which she is particularly proud is the Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad. Kristin was an active member of this group for 4 years preceding her relocation to the USVI. Membership included becoming a licensed 1st Responder having to satisfy the requirements of FEMA, the SC Fire Academy, TEEX, and achieving Emergency Medical Responder status. Kristin is trained in Search and Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, High Angle, Confined Space, Body Transport for the Coroner’s Office, Swift Water, and operating many different types of vehicles and equipment. 

Currently, Kristin’s service organizations include Rotary, and serving on the Law and Legislative Reform Committee, and IOLTA Board for the V.I. Bar Association.

On the rare occasions she has any free time, Kristin enjoys the aerial arts, spending time with all types of animals, traveling, and fixing cars.
